Bering 70, hull # 1 is a 2015 built yacht. Like all of Bering’s models she has been designed from the keel up to be a superb transoceanic yacht; however one immediately recognizes that the Bering 70 is not your typical motoryacht! A reverse-raked bow is seldom seen in either traditional or contemporary designs. The absence of a large overhanging bow means that there is less reserve buoyancy to create lift when making contact with an approaching wave. This in turn leads to the hull “slicing” through waves as opposed to riding up and over, thereby dampening pitch at sea. The end result, a smoother ride for everyone onboard.
Bering 70’s contemporary interior design is a departure from the more traditional styling found on many of today’s passagemaking yachts, but her capabilities are that of a true bluewater voyager. Featuring a pilothouse deck, full displacement hull and a range of over 2,500 nautical miles, she’s ready to carry you and your guests to wherever your destination lies, near or far.
B70’s quick summary is: Steel hull, composite superstructure, three stateroom layout, varnished mahogany interior throughout the boat, Corian countertops, Seakeeper M16, Gyro Stabilizer, two 8 person life rafts, hydraulic crane,nav/com electronics package in the wheelhouse. She is a 24V boat with two Victron 5 KW inverter/chargers, 120/240 V, 60Hz , 50 amp shore power, 21.5 kW and 17.0 kW Onan generators.

HULL
Hull and superstructure are made of marine steel A-36 marine grade steel. Bottom plates and integrated tanks sides - 6mm. Hull sides - 6mm.
The hull is divided by four watertight bulkheads creating five compartments.
The superstructure, flybridge, hard top and the mast are all made of fiberglass.
The hull below the waterline is painted with three layers of antifouling paint Interlux.
The hull above the waterline, deck and superstructure is painted with Alexseal.
Yacht quality faring above the waterline with Alexseal paint finish.
All watertight bulkheads are made of reinforced steel,with sound and thermal insulation per Bering Yachts drawings.
All the interior steel surfaces of the vessel are treated with epoxy primer after thorough surface preparation.
