The boat is very strong and reliable, the fiberglass hull was manufactured with using the old technology which doesn't give osmosis, so the yacht will be in use for many years.Extremely seaworthy, the navigation area is not limited. In 1991 famous Russian traveller and explorer, Fedor Konyukhov made his first circumnavigation from Sydney to Sydney on this boat. He has written the book "My spirit on the deck of Karaani".
In 2010 it was made a major refit and overhaul with the engine replacement.
Needs interior work (cosmetic repairs) + painting the bottom, polishing sides, Technical maintenance of engine.

Sails and rigging:
Mainsail, Furling Genoa (Harken), tricel, jib (2014). Storm jib, jib #1,two main sails are quite old, but in working condition.
Renovation:
2011. overhaul - check for osmosis, osmosis is not detected. Coating with gelcoat and paint the bottom, sides and deck. Internal alterations, replacement of engine, replacement of stays. New rudder.
2015 - replacement of cables, installation of folding steps on the mast and anchor winch. Installed 3 solar panels.
Very honored ship with a rich history of blue-water sailing. Sale for health reasons of the Owner.
